On the Road to Davenport

Today started out like most of our days have so far, by singing “The Lord Bless You” and the loyalty song. We then loaded the bus, and set off for English Valleys High school. We ate lunches on the road, and watched Kung fu panda 3. The drive was rather uneventful until the end, when we ended up driving behind a tractor for a mile or two.

Once we got to the school, we unloaded the bus and got set up in the high school auditorium. We had a brief rehearsal, and then had a performance for the school during an assembly. We played a selection of 9 songs, and then following had a question and answer with the music kids of the school. Afterwords, we packed up our things and left for the machine shed in Davenport, our dinner location for the night.

We finished up our night at the machine shed. Dinner was a family style setting, and consisted of chicken and roast, as well as mashed potatoes, corn, and ice cream to finish everything off. The food was absolutely amazing, and I loved getting to experience the family style setting with the people in the band. Dinner was my favorite part of the day, as it truly was a super cool experience.
