Yesterday we had a fun day in Davenport, going to the Putnam Museum, the Figge Art Museum, and the River Bandits baseball game, playing card games, and going to dinner at Texas Roadhouse . Some highlights from the museums include, the art created by elementary school students displayed in the Figge Art Museum and the room with the endless number of block at the Putnam. Unfortunately, today members of the wind ensemble have tested positive for Covid-19. Due to the significant number, we are taking a short break from tour to head back to Waverly, to take a couple days off and recharge, and address the situation. We are planning to resume tour on Friday for our IBA performance in Des Moines, if the number of positive cases does not continue to increase. We will miss going to Illinois, and playing at the Walther Christian Academy, St. John’s Lutheran Church, and having a free day in Chicago, where we were planning to play in chapel, hold workshops, see Six, the musical, go to the aquarium, and explore downtown, but we would rather keep everyone safe, than continue our journey. We will update everyone on Friday with another blog post once we know if we will be continuing with tour, and have more information. Thank you for keeping us in your good thoughts.
